Swiss-based company chosen to design The Palm Jumeirah 'Show Villa'

Nakheel, the UAE's leading real estate developer, has selected Swiss-based TGEC BRIGHT for the interior design and fit-out of The Palm Jumeirah 'Show Villa'.

Marwan Al Qamzi, Nakheel Head of Procurement & Contracts, and Abdullatef A. Al-Rajhi, Chairman of TGEC BRIGHT, inked the agreement during an MOU signing ceremony at the Nakheel Sales Centre.

TGEC BRIGHT will offer furniture, fittings & equipment (FF&E) and fit out services for the 'Show Villa'. Prof. Architect Mr Henri Grobety, an internationally renowned interior designer and lead in-house designer of TGEC BRIGHT, has evolved a custom-tailored interior design, including colours, fabrics, and finishes.

Abdullatef A. Al-Rajhi said: 'From emirs to princes, to five-star luxury hotel chains such as Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Hilton, Shangri La, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, TGEC BRIGHT has a proven track record and large number of satisfied customers. The Palm Jumeirah is a stunning feat of design, engineering and creativity that is already an icon of Dubai to the world; I am proud that we have been chosen to play a role in its phenomenal success.'

Marwan Al Qamzi said: 'The villas located on The Fronds of The Palm Jumeirah will be among the most luxurious in the world with each property having access to its own private beachfront; I am delighted that we have a company of the caliber of TGEC BRIGHT to ensure that the interiors of the 'Show Villa' are also of the very highest standards.'

With thousands of skilled craftsmen attending to the design, drawing and finishing details, TGEC BRIGHT has set a world standard as a full service FF&E and fit-out provider with a total control on design, production, supply, installation and logistics. TGEC BRIGHT operates from its offices in Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Hong Kong, China, The Philippines and the UK with headquarters in Geneva.

The handover of property for phase one of The Palm Jumeirah is underway with the first residents moving into their property this month. The first stage of construction includes around 1,500 villas on 11 of the fronds of the island and 2,500 Shoreline Apartments within the 20 buildings located on the East side of the trunk. From the commencement of reclamation in 2001 to the first residents moving in will have taken little more than five years.
